Be part of the 1000 Voice Choir
Registration is NOW OPEN for the show that will take place in November 2022 at Motorpoint Arena Cardiff. You will need to move fast as space on the stage is filling rapidly.
As an organisation we are committed to diversity and we are seeking to make the choir as diverse as possible so please use this opportunity to encourage the involvement of young people who normally shy away from being involved in the choir.
We keep the workload as easy as possible.
Primary Schools are provided with – sheet music for the melody line, vocal backing tape for the part you are singing, piano backing tape, a pdf of words for the white board and a sheet of words. There is a regional rehearsal at a venue near your school and then 1 mass rehearsal with the Musical Director.
High schools are provided with – a full score, a piano backing tape and vocal tapes for all of the separate parts either on PDF or for MP3 players. There is just one mass rehearsal with the Musical Director.
The Beyond Words Team are on hand to deal with questions and queries and one of the team will come to your school to meet the choir and teaching staff.
The set list does have some recognisable songs but they have been arranged to suit young voices but there is also some brand new music composed by our Musical Director. Some of the songs will have been written in partnership with the members of the choir and the Musical Director. It can only be described as a feast of music.
The organisation is fully insured and has strong safety and safeguarding policies and procedures in place for this event. All staff have been screened and undergone a DBS check.
We comply with all the necessary legislation to produce this show via the necessary Licence we hold.
Beyond Words Crew is an unusual package that combines training with practical experience. It is designed for young people aged 16 -18 and we recruit at specific times each year.
All the training and activities are outside school hours. We operate a flexible approach to involvement and one of the first things they are trained in is time management.
Young people who are involved show an increase in confidence, self-esteem, teamwork, problem solving and flexibility. They also have an increased sense of belonging and wellbeing.
The programme fits totally with the Welsh Baccalaureate.
All our staff are screened and required to undergo a DBS check. The organisation is fully insured.
